A.  Assessment with Technology

Scantron--Achievement Series Reports

This sample shows an example of one of the reports generated by the system my school uses to collect , analyze, interpret, represent, and communicate data about Topic Tests and Benchmark Tests.  This information is used to help guide instructional planning, and utimately, overall school improvement.  Data can be generated about individual students, classes, and grade levels.  We use these reports during planning and grade group meetings to focus in on areas that need improvement and reteaching.  Teachers can print reports to show how many students answered individual questions correctly and incorrectly. This helps narrow down areas that were of great difficulty to students.  These results can also be used for differentiated grouping.  This helps to maximize student learning.

TF-IV.A  Apply technology in assessing student learning of subject matter using a variety of assessment techniques.
TF-IV.B  Use technology resources to collect and analyze data, intrepret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning.

B.  Assessment of Technology

Artifact:
Rubric for School Uniforms (Critical Literacy)
Rubric for Immigration Journal

The samples below show examples of rubrics I created for evaluating student-created technology projects.  Students will use the rubrics for self-assessment.  Teachers will look for appropriate use of technology for learning, communicating their findings, and productivity.  Teachers can also show anonymous student projects and work with students to use the rubrics for peer assessment.

TF-IV.C  Apply multiple methods of evaluation to determine students' appropriate use of technology resources for learning, communication, and productivity.
